There are a growing number of scientific evidence that alcoholism has a genetic component, but carry the gene to the fact that can not be identified.
Show laboratory experiments on animals and human subjects indicate that genetic factors play an important role in the development of alcoholism, but to what extent is still unclear.

Children of alcoholics are four times more likely than other children to become alcoholics, according to the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, but environmental factors may play a role in many cases.

Believe it or not, the same can be said about the career you choose. Police 3x times more likely to commit domestic violence and alcoholism, the general population. Doctors and nurses are 2X more likely to abuse prescription drugs.

Not to forget the dentists 5x times are more often convicted of rape. As is often the stroke and the abuse of their patients under general anesthesia. They know what is already the priest. Thus, the structure of family and work a lot to do with what you will.

Hello, There were a few alcoholics in my family in recent years, in this moment is very immediate family, the brother of binge drink on, luckily I'm just the opposite is very rare I drink alcohol, I also remember my night, oh please do not get me wrong when I was younger I loved going to discos and drink, but I think that if an alcoholic family must be careful to watch what you drink. We have done our best to try to help our parents, but without success.

I am not a doctor or anything, but it is my personal experience that alcoholism is not genetic. I come from an alcoholic family (father, mother, father of two parents of the mother and father), but I drink occasionally (5-8 times per year have been) and drunk once in my life (phew "Red coming soon!).

There are studies to "prove" or "predict" or not. It depends on what the interviewer tries to show, with the same statistics.

If you're afraid of you, be honest with yourself and keep an eye on how much and when you drink. When you begin to drink more or drink earlier in the day, drink or have blackouts because of your experience, I recommend you stop. If you have left "several times" or said "I can quit anytime," then it is likely that developing a dependency on it.

First, be honest with you.

If it does not know quiet, do not like the control and decided to represent what the family member as an alcoholic. When this happens, you need to return an alcohol-rehabilitation for the normal route.

Yes, my parents are alcoholics or heavy (my mother) was very violent. Infact, all in the beverage side of my mother numb their feelings. My mother nearly died last year, but suddenly they basically got out of bed and stopped drinking. No one could believe.
Me and my brother are now in our late 20s years. I was a heavy drinker in the school and sometimes also taken drugs. My brother has not stopped drugs and alcohol since the 7th Class. both are so numb our emotions. Now, after several years of struggle I have in the mood stabilizer was improving my mood and depression. So, I hope, used to numb my feelings the wrong direction. This drug is a controlled substance. I no longer feel suicidal.
Actually, the answer is yes.

I think that's possible. My father is a drunk and when I was with him the only way to deal with drinking too much. Wisener, but after 3 years because I could not have a hangover.

So, if it hadnt drunk every night that I did not, so yes in my humble opinion
